During this 30 minute talk and tutorial, we'll work through analysis of data with linear models and diagnostics to get an optimal model.

Abstract

This will be a talk/tutorial that will walk the students through a quick setup to replicate the system I'll be using, followed by a quick walkthrough of linear models with diagnostics for getting the best model with the best compromise between simplicity and goodness of fit. Rules of thumb and general guides for dealing with various problems will be offered as well.
